Our team was glued to the screens as Jürgen Bickel, Founder and Managing Director of S&B, unveiled the innovative new portable vaporizer from the legendary brand, the Storz & Bickel Venty aromatherapy vaporizer.

**Update December 2023 : the issues surrounding the Venty have been resolved and customers who received the defective devices have gotten replacements. Moving forward, Venty devices sold on Pocket Ovens are from the latest batch production and is safe to be used.
**Update November 2023 : there is an ongoing resolution by S&B concerning certain aspects of the first batch of Venty devices, which could result in minor delays. Introduction to Storz & Bickel Venty name
In the world of dry herb vaporizers, Storz & Bickel have long been distinguished for their precision engineering and commitment to quality. So when they unveiled their latest creation, the Venty vaporizer, it's no wonder enthusiasts like me were buzzing with anticipation.

The previous release from S&B was in 2021 with the addition of Mighty+, Crafty+ and Volcano Onyx colourway to the product lineup. The highlights of the Venty - adjustable airflow, rapid heat-up times, and a slew of cutting-edge features - left me eager to learn more about this new addition.
The name Venty is inspired by the Latin word for wind – ventus. S&B named it to highlight the unprecedented airflow in this new dry herb vaporizer. As far as the naming convention goes, S&B has been consistent in giving names to their vaporizers’ most prominent feature.
But what’s extra interesting is that for the Venty, it also means venti which is twenty in Italian. The airflow and heat-up times carry the number 20 as an important metric for the features.

It’s a pretty cool 3-in-1 signature name. It reminded me of a Starbucks cuppa too, which I’m sure was the same for everyone else when they revealed the Venty name.

Airflow Game Changer
Adjustable Airflow with Flowmeter
One of the standout features of the Venty is its adjustable airflow. For those of us who cherish a customised vaping experience, this is a game-changer. At its maximum setting, the Venty boasts 20 litres per minute of airflow, which is a new benchmark for portable vaporizers from S&B. The older Mighty and Crafty vaporizers allow 10 litres per minute of airflow, so it’s a significant jump!
There’s an orange setting wheel below the mouthpiece to adjust the airflow and control your draws. This isn’t actually a common feature in battery-powered vaporizers. Out of all the vaporizers I’ve used, only the DaVinci IQ2 and DynaVap devices have the adjustable airflow feature.
What truly caught my attention, though, was the inclusion of a flowmeter. It dynamically adjusts heating based on your inhalation, ensuring a consistent and exceptional vaping experience regardless of how you draw.
We can’t wait to see how this affects the quality and taste of the vapor production.
The Venty Heats Up In 20 Seconds
In the fast-paced world we live in, the Venty doesn't waste a second. It heats up in 20 seconds which stands as the fastest vaporizer from S&B to date. However, S&B didn’t provide exact temperature settings for the 20 seconds heat up time, our best guess is that it refers to the default base temperature of 180°C.
Of course, it can’t hold a candle to a Firefly 2+ which heats up in 3 seconds, but the Venty still beats many of the winners in our Best Dry Herb Aromatherapy Vaporizer Guide 2023.
How did they manage to do that? Well, the newly designed, patented hybrid mini-heater allows for faster heating with a huge battery size. Speaking of batteries..
A True Powerhouse
2 high-power Lithium-Ion Batteries
The Venty's power source is equally impressive with two 18650 li-ion batteries built-in. It boasts a maximum power usage of 130W at 16 Amps, which is more than 3 times that of a Mighty+.
The Venty uses a USB-C charging port which charges to 80% in 40 minutes when using a +15V @ 3A power supply like the Storz & Bickel Supercharger power adapter. Sadly, the Supercharger needs to be purchased separately and doesn’t come in the box.
The Venty's Sleek New Shape
The Venty, the first S&B vaporizer to undergo a ground-up redesign since 2014, maintains S&B's signature clean and functional design language, while retaining its playful orange accents.
Judging by the teaser photos of the silhouette, I expected it to be smaller. Although it’s not as pocket-friendly as some other vapes, the size is still very portable as it is the second smallest vape from S&B, beaten only by the Crafty+.
With batteries this size, it’s no wonder the Venty’s form factor looks like an XMAX V3 Pro on steroids. A big improvement from the Mighty’s design is having a flat bottom to be able to stand steadily on its own. That’s convenient for filling with no spills.

In-App Customisation
One feature that the Venty shares with its siblings is the ability to customize your vaping experience. The Bluetooth connectivity and Web App allow you to adjust settings via your smartphone.
Whether it's pre-set booster temperatures, display brightness, vibration settings, or even an ECO-charge mode to maximize battery life, the Venty can be tailored to your personal taste.
Conclusion on the Venty Vaporizer
What hit the mark and what disappoint?
In my first look at the Venty vaporizer, it's clear that S&B has not only continued its tradition of quality excellence but also pushed the envelope of what's possible in dry herb vaping. What went unchecked on my wish list though are removable batteries and the Supercharger power adapter bundled in the box with the vaporizer. I also expected it to be a bit smaller based on the sneak preview silhouette!
With that being said, the Venty with its adjustable airflow, 20-second heat-up time, and newly designed heater offers a truly refreshing addition to the S&B product lineup. As we further discover this device, we can't help but be excited about the future of vaping. The Venty brings an impressive blend of power, precision, and portability, making it another standout choice from S&B for both newcomers and seasoned vapers.
